Priory Angling Club Match Rules:

  1. Only 1 rod and line (or pole) unless otherise stated. Spares may be assembled ready on the bank.
  2. Keep-nets must be of regulation size.
  3. Competitors must fish within 1 metre of peg number.
  4. The depth may be plumbed prior to the starting whistle.
  5. No pre-baiting.
  6. Match start and finish will be signalled by a whistle. NB 15 minutes will be allowed to land a fish hooked before the final whistle.
  7. Competitors must give their names before the draw takes place, late-comers will not be accepted.
  8. The Match Secretary's decision is final regarding competition.
  9. If the Match Secretary is not present, a designated scales person will run the competition.
  10. Ground bait may be used in moderation.
  11. Pike are not eligible for weighing in competitions
  12. Fishing is only allowed halfway between you and the next peg.
  13. All carp weighing more than 2lb will be counted as 2lb on your final weight (unless otherwise stated).
